Sighted individuals take in much of the information required to function through their vision; they rely on vision to be able to complete nearly all of the various tasks required in their lives. While effortless to the vast majority of the population, the processes required to make vision meaningful to an individual are very complex. A full range of synchronized actions and reactions must take place each second for vision to function properly.
![]() For some individuals the processes required to have efficient, effective, effortless vision do not function properly. As much as 20% of the population has some issues with the processes of vision that can not be managed by glasses. Vision Therapy is a methodology of assessments, activities and exercises coordinated by an optometrist to remedy or improve issues that relate to vision functioning. ![]() Generally a Vision Therapy plan includes a full optometry assessment to determine the best course of action with weekly therapy sessions to complete the vision improvement plan ![]() The following sites contain extensive information about vision therapy. ![]()
